The New Jurassic Park 4 Star?

We have to wait a while longer to see the perennially delayed Jurassic Park sequel, but now we at least know who might be starring in it.

Original cast members Jeff Goldblum and Sam Neill are rumored to return, but you knew director Colin Trevorrow would be adding some fresh faces to the mix for the latest dino-outing.

The first one to break? The lovely Bryce Dallas Howard (50/50, The Help), who is reportedly in negotiations for a place in the film. No word on exactly what the role is, but you’d have to think it’s fairly large, considering it’s the first bit of casting news. But, good guy? Villain? We have no clue.

As we heard a while back, the sequel will be dubbed Jurassic World, and will reportedly follow a global dino-outbreak (hence the World) and return trip to the original Isla Nublar location from the first film.

We’ll take what we can on this one, since it won’t actually arrive on the big screen until June 12, 2015. What do you think of Bryce Dallas Howard’s potential involvement? Are you a fan?

Did 3 former Doctors spotted at the BBC film cameos for Who's Xmas special?

Production is well underway on the Doctor Who Christmas special, with Matt Smith, Jenna Coleman, Orla Brady and some folk in Cybermen suits all working hard to send out this generation of The Doctor in fine style.

Meanwhile, I’ve heard fairly well-sourced and direct reports that three of the previous Doctors have been seen at the studios in Roath Lock, the BBC’s studio base for the show down in Cardiff Bay. The particular actors spotted were Peter Davison, Colin Baker and Sylvester McCoy. A couple of loose Tweets seem to corroborate what I was hearing, certainly enough that I think it’s worth passing on to you.

Now, the original reports came to me flavoured with gossip that the actors may well be showing up in the Christmas special and I suppose, okay, that’s not beyond the realms of possibility.

My hunch, though – and it is just a hunch – is that they’re filming a skit for one of the anniversary celebration shows. Indeed, I think they already shot some material down at the BBC’s old buildings in White City, and that was caught on cameraphone.

It’s nice to think that Doctors five, six and seven are playing along and have a good sense of fun. It continues to be of note that Doctors four and ten are nowhere to be seen.

I think that there’s possibly a very good reason that Paul McGann won’t take part in a sketch about being left out of the 50th anniversary special, but Tom Baker? Maybe he just doesn’t want to. Maybe he just didn’t find it money funny enough.

We’re less than two months out from the actual anniversary, and the screening of the 50th special. Can’t be more than… oh, seven weeks out from a trailer, can we? Eight weeks at most? Maybe eight weeks and a day?

Walking Dead Style Zombie Bite Wound Application Tip

Quick tip on applying a zombie prosthetic. Carefully peel the paper off the appliance (the edges are very thin so go slow) and place it over the area so you can see the rough size...

If you are applying them on yourself and you want a neck or face bite I've found it's a lot easier if you color the bite first before you stick it on your skin (just skip ahead to Step 7/ Painting the appliance then come back when your done)...

You can the kits now on Etsy and eBay ->

How to Make Monkey Brain Cake (EXTREMELY HARD)

a Indiana Jones Monkey Brain Cake Monkey Birthday Cake Boys 4th bleeding slice.jpg

Found this deliciously scary cake of at forces of geek and i had to share it Indiana Jones and Temple of Doom had a greater impact on us then seeing the skull of a monkey used as a bowl for its own chilled brains.

To say that this image had an impact on xenophobia in this country is an understatement. To this day I will not set foot in India because I'm afraid that someone will force the same dessert offering on to me, and out of politeness I will have to suck down the memories of a primate against my will.

And yes, I do understand that this slightly bigoted belief is unfounded (I've already confirmed that this will not take place via several Indian friends) but that image is stuck down deep inside of me and there's nothing I can do about it...except perhaps make a Monkey Brain Cake out of Jello, chocolate, ganache and fondant and eat it,.

And how does one make a Monkey Brain Cake exactly? Some serious hard work i'm sure?

It can be done, although the process is highly intensive and will take three days to complete

If you are up to the challenge then I visit Instructables user Bubble and Sweet's incredibly detailed How-to Instructions HERE as she walks you through the steps of creating a dessert that will help curb the phobia of people like me.

Of course, there is a good chance that upon completing this cake and revealing it at say, a child's b-day party, you might be scarring that kid for life, but at least it'll be funny to watch them scream as you down some jello brains:

Empire State Building TARDIS Blue For Who 50th

The BBC has already had some ideas, but here's a notion some Whovians are trying to get off the ground that i think is definitely worthwhile.

If you live in New York City (or even if you just heard of it), you might be aware that, at night, the Empire State Building is lit up in different colors. Sometimes, specific colors are used to celebrate or honor something.

Doctor Who reaching its 50th Anniversary is something worth celebrating and honoring. With that in mind, New York SciFi & Fantasy decided they would start up a petition and work with the reps for the Empire State Building to light the skyscraper up a dark and sexy TARDIS blue for Who's 50th birthday.

It reached Over 2500 signatures in 21 hours! But in under 24 hours, the petition has already exceeded 3,000 of the 5,000 signatures it is hoping to achieve. We think reaching that goal should be easy and, frankly, the more signatures the better in such matters.

So help celebrate the TARDIS and Doctor Who 50th Anniversary by signing the petition over at: www.change.org.

The Dark World TV spot shows off a more Loki

Loki!! Remember marvel said there reshooting a while back to add more Loki? Well, the latest trailer for Thor: The Dark World shows off a bit more of what we can expect.

A new TV spot for the upcoming Marvel sequel has been released, showing off a few more snippets of footage with Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Loki (Tom Hiddleston). Adding in The Avengers, their relationship has almost always been at the center of the Marvel Cinematic Universe — and it looks like they’ll have a lot to do on the third go ‘round.

I don’t exactly know what help Loki will provide in Thor’s battle against Malekith (Christopher Eccleston) and the Dark Elves, but i dying to find out. Heck, fans are already petitioning for a standalone Loki movie, so we’ll take as much of the little trickster as we can get.

The newest Thor sequel opens November 8. Are you glad to see we’ll have a little more Loki than expected?

Watch Christian Bale audition for Batman wearing Kilmer's Bat-cowl

Before he helped reinvigorate the Batman franchise, Christian Bale had to try out, just like everyone else.

It's always interesting to see an actor at the beginning of their process. By now, we've seen the good and the ill of Christian Bale's take on the Dark Knight, but what was he like at the start, before Batman Begins even began filming?

Thankfully, now we can know. This footage from the Dark Knight boxed set shows Bale's screen test, and it's pretty easy to see why he landed the part.

Yes, the trademark voice was there, even from the get. But that's not the only familiar voice. Listen again. That girl who's reading for Rachel -- does she sound familiar? She should, because she's Amy Adams aka Lois Lane in Man of Steel. This was, apparently, before she'd caught her big break and was just doing a favor for someone.

Can we also talk about the cowl Bale's wearing? It's actually the one Val Kilmer wore years earlier, and it looks pretty darn good. Say what you will about Batman Forever (and the infamous bat nipples), but that mask was still neat.
