‘Grimm’, ‘Dracula’ webisodes tease supernatural series

Thank Grimm it's friday NBC’s new supernatural duo of “Grimm” and “Dracula” doesn’t kick off until Oct. 25, but fans of both can get glimpses of what’s to come with new webisodes that delve into each show’s mythology.

Fans of “Grimm” know that Dammerzustand, or zombies, are the newest danger in the Portland-set drama, with last season’s finale showing them overrunning the heroes. The undead invasion is spotlighted in “Grimm: Meltdown.” The series features refrigerator repairman Bud, an Eisbiber (rodent-like creature played by Danny Bruno) who faces off against zombies in his repair shop and has to call for help. It’s something many of the supernatural Wesen creatures are reluctant to do.

For “Dracula,” the show itself may not have a following since it hasn’t premiered, but the character, played by Jonathan Rhys Meyers, is, of course, known to fans the world over, bringing its own brand of cachet to television. On the Web, “Dracula Rising” uses animation to recount a 15th century history of Vlad Tepes, also dubbed Vlad the Impaler or Dracula. The events may or may not affect the modern retelling of the vampire tale, but should give fans a deeper understanding of the show’s mythology.

1st pics from Ron Moore's Syfy series Helix Black ooze claims a victim

FINALLY after being teased for months, we finally have our first look at Ronald D. Moore’s new Syfy series, Helix. i'm going to go ahead and say it — that black ooze is some creepy creepy goopy stuff.

The first pics come courtesy of The Hollywood Reporter, which has posted a small gallery of shots from the pilot episode. We finally get to see stars Billy Campbell (The 4400) and Hiroyuki Sanada (The Wolverine) in action, as they investigate a dangerous new pathogen at an arctic research facility.

Syfy ordered the project straight to series, meaning that Moore and company are hard at work now on the first 13-episode season. The story follows a team of CDC scientists at a high-tech research facility, where they encounter something that could hold the key to continued life (or annihilation) of the entire planet.

The new pics give us the first look at the visual style Moore is going for, as we get to see the team check out a victim of the mysterious black ooze at the center of the mystery. The stuff looks positively brutal, and i can’t wait to see more of what Moore is cooking up literately.

The series is set to premiere in 2014 on Syfy. Will you be watching no i will?

Moffat “probably done” with Weeping Angels

Steven Moffat has admitted that he is “probably done” writing any more episodes featuring the Weeping Angels. But he hasn’t ruled out other writers taking them on.

Speaking in an interview with Nerd³, he said: “I’m probably done to be honest on what you can do with the Weeping Angels. But other writers have to have a go. There’s only so many times you can think, ‘Right, it’s a chase scene and statues’. How many times can the lights flicker? What happens if a moth sees them? Is the alien invasion cancelled at that point?”

However, Moffat reveals another Doctor Who writer recently pitched a new story starring the Lonely Assassins: “It’s not going to happen but a very good Doctor Who writer pitched a great idea for the Weeping Angels the other day and I was very excited about it.

“We had a long phone call about it and I went away thinking, ‘That is going to be brilliant!’ And about two days later he admitted he wasn’t going to have time to do it. Hopefully we’ll get to it in the next year.”What do you think do you want more angels like me or do you not care either way!
